Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-06-02
This Privacy Policy describes how ContinuationTrades (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use our website and services (the “Service”). By using the Service, you consent to the practices described here.
1. Information We Collect
Account information. When you create an account, we collect your email address, hashed password, and authentication-provider identifiers (e.g., a Google account ID if you sign in with Google).
Billing information. Subscription and payment data is processed by Stripe. We do not store full card numbers on our servers — Stripe returns a customer ID and the last four digits, which we store to display your billing history.
Usage data. We log basic usage information for product analytics and abuse prevention: timestamps of logins, the URLs of pages you visit on our site, your browser type, and your IP address (truncated where feasible).
Watchlists, mute lists, and preferences. Data you create within the dashboard (watchlisted tickers, muted tickers, notification preferences) is stored to provide the Service.
Discord integration. If you configure a Discord webhook to receive alerts, we store the webhook URL you provide. We do not access your Discord account itself.
Cookies and local storage. We use a small number of essential cookies for authentication and a localStorage entry to remember your cookie-consent choice. We do not use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
2. How We Use Information
- To provide and operate the Service (display alerts, persist your watchlists, send notifications).
- To process subscriptions and payments.
- To communicate with you about your account, security events, billing, and product updates you opt into.
- To monitor and improve the Service, including aggregating anonymized usage metrics.
- To prevent abuse, fraud, and unauthorized access.
- To comply with legal obligations.
3. Third-Party Service Providers
We share information with a small set of vendors that help us operate the Service:
- Stripe — payment processing.
- Polygon.io — market-data provider (we send no personal data; we only receive market data).
- Cloudflare — DNS, edge proxy, DDoS protection.
- Email provider — transactional email (account confirmation, password reset, subscription receipts).
- Authentication providers — if you sign in with a third-party provider (e.g., Google), that provider returns your identifier to us.
We do not sell your personal information to advertisers or data brokers.
4. Data Retention
- Account data: retained while your account is active and for up to 90 days after deletion.
- Billing records: retained for at least 7 years as required by tax and accounting laws.
- Alert history: retained for the lifetime of your account so you can review historical signals.
- Server logs: retained for up to 90 days.
5. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights with respect to your personal information:
- Access — request a copy of the data we hold about you.
- Correction — request that we correct inaccurate data.
- Deletion — request that we delete your account and associated data, subject to legal-retention exceptions.
- Portability — request an export of your data in a machine-readable format.
- Objection / Restriction — request that we limit how we use your data.
- Withdrawal of consent — withdraw any consent you previously granted.
To exercise any of these rights, contact [email protected] from the email address associated with your account.
6. Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including TLS in transit, hashed passwords at rest, role-based access control, and limited admin access. No security measure is absolute; in the event of a breach affecting your data we will notify you as required by applicable law.
7. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
8. International Users
We operate from the United States. By using the Service from outside the United States, you consent to the transfer of your information to and processing of it in the United States, which may have different data-protection laws than your country.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email and/or an in-app notice. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
